HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING

CAUTION:

Make sure to check the items listed below before proceeding with troubleshooting.

  • Do not perform "Smart Code Reset" (all key ID erasure) until all of the malfunctions and symptoms have been confirmed and resolved. If all key ID erasure is performed without confirming or resolving malfunctions, key registration will be unable to be performed, resulting in unnecessary part replacement.
  • Check that the smart key system has not been canceled in the customize function.

HINT:

  • Replace parts related to the wireless door lock and smart key system according to the inspection procedure.
  • If the wireless door lock and smart key system does not operate, first check the customize item and make sure that the wireless door lock and smart key system is not turned off.
  • The wireless door lock and smart key system primarily uses the following systems.
    • Power door lock system
    • Wireless door lock system
    • Smart key system (for Entry Function, Gasoline Model)
    • Smart key system (for Start Function, Gasoline Model)
      • : Steering lock function
      • : Immobiliser function
  • Perform troubleshooting procedures with other registered keys if available.

(a) Confirm how vehicle was brought to workshop

  • Vehicle was driven
  • Vehicle was towed

The malfunction location may be narrowed down by confirming whether the vehicle was driven or towed.
