PROCEDURE
1. PRECAUTION
NOTICE:
After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

2. REMOVE LUGGAGE TRIM SERVICE HOLE COVER

3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

4. REMOVE REAR DOOR ARMREST COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Using a moulding remover, disengage the 3 claws to remove the rear door armrest cover sub-assembly.

5. REMOVE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH REAR DOOR UPPER ARMREST BASE PANEL
(a) Disengage the 2 clips, 5 claws and 6 guides as shown in the illustration.

(b) Disconnect the connector to remove the rear power window regulator switch assembly with rear door upper armrest base panel.
6. REMOVE REAR ARMREST ASSEMBLY
(a) Disengage the 3 clips, 8 claws and 2 guides as shown in the illustration.

(b) Disengage the guide to remove the rear armrest assembly as shown in the illustration.

7. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Apply protective tape to the rear door panel as shown in the illustration.

(c) Disengage the 7 clips as shown in the illustration.

(d) Pull out the rear door trim board sub-assembly as shown in the illustration to disengage the guide.

(e) Raise the rear door trim board sub-assembly to separate the rear door trim board sub-assembly with the rear door inner glass weatherstrip and No. 1 door scuff plate clamp.
(f) Disconnect the rear door lock remote control cable assembly and rear door inside locking cable assembly to remove the rear door trim board sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

(g) Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw to remove the No. 1 door scuff plate clamp from the rear door trim board sub-assembly.

8. REMOVE REAR DOOR INNER GLASS WEATHERSTRIP
(a) Slide the rear door inner glass weatherstrip to remove it from the rear door trim board sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

9. REMOVE REAR DOOR NO. 2 SERVICE HOLE COVER
(b) Remove the rear door No. 2 service hole cover.

10. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Disengage the 3 claws to remove the rear door inside handle sub-assembly.

11. REMOVE REAR SPEAKER ASSEMBLY

12. REMOVE REAR DOOR FRAME GARNISH
(a) Disengage the 2 claws to remove the rear door frame garnish.

13. REMOVE REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER
(a) Disconnect the connector.
|
|
(b) Disengage the 2 clamps.
(c) Disengage the 8 clips to remove the rear door service hole cover.

14. REMOVE REAR DOOR NO. 1 VENT SEAL
(a) Remove the rear door No. 1 vent seal.
|
|
15. REMOVE REAR DOOR PANEL PROTECTOR
(b) Remove the rear door panel protector.

16. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS RUN
(a) Remove the rear door glass run.
|
|
17. REMOVE REAR DOOR CHECK ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 2 nuts, bolt and rear door check assembly.

18. REMOVE REAR DOOR WEATHERSTRIP
(a) Using a clip remover, disengage the 23 clips and remove the rear door weatherstrip.

19. REMOVE REAR DOOR REAR LOWER WINDOW FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the screw, 2 bolts and rear door rear lower window frame sub-assembly.

20. REMOVE REAR DOOR QUARTER WINDOW GLASS
(a) Remove the rear door quarter window glass with rear door quarter window weatherstrip as shown in the illustration.

(b) Remove the rear door quarter window glass from the rear door quarter window weatherstrip.
21. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Separate the rear door glass sub-assembly from the rear door window regulator assembly as shown in the illustration.
NOTICE:
After separating the rear door glass sub-assembly, do not allow it to fall.

(b) Remove the rear door glass sub-assembly as indicated by the arrows, in the order shown in the illustration.
NOTICE:
Do not damage the rear door glass sub-assembly.

22. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS CHANNEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Using a screwdriver, remove the rear door glass channel sub-assembly.
HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

23. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS CHANNEL FILLER
(a) Remove the rear door glass channel filler from the rear door glass sub-assembly.
24. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the connector.
(b) Loosen the temporary bolt.
NOTICE:
Do not remove the temporary bolt. If the temporary bolt is removed, the rear door window regulator assembly may fall and cause damage.

(c) Remove the 3 bolts and rear door window regulator assembly.
(d) Remove the temporary bolt from the rear door window regulator assembly.
25. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY

26. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY
(a) Disengage the 2 claws and move the lever as shown in the illustration.

(b) Remove the rear door outside handle assembly as shown in the illustration.

27. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER
(a) Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, loosen the screw.
HINT:
The screw cannot be removed because it is integrated into the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly.

(b) Disengage the claw to remove the rear door outside handle cover.
28. REMOVE REAR DOOR FRONT OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD
(a) Disengage the 3 claws to remove the rear door front outside handle pad.

29. REMOVE REAR DOOR REAR OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD
(a) Disengage the claw and 3 guides to remove the rear door rear outside handle pad.

30. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the screw.
|
|
(b) Slide the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly as shown in the illustration to disengage the claw and then remove it.
31. REMOVE REAR DOOR PANEL CUSHION
(a) Disengage the 4 claws to remove the 2 rear door panel cushions.

32. REMOVE REAR DOOR NO. 2 WEATHERSTRIP
(a) Disengage the 5 clips to remove the rear door No. 2 weatherstrip.

33. REMOVE REAR DOOR BELT MOULDING ASSEMBLY

34. REMOVE DOOR WINDOW FRAME MOULDING CLIP
(a) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the 2 claws to remove the door window frame moulding clip.

(a) Disengage the guide to remove the rear door front outside seal.
