DESCRIPTION

When a malfunction is detected between various ECUs and sensors, these DTCs are stored.

U012587	Lost Communication with Multi-axis Acceleration Sensor Module Missing Message	While the vehicle is being driven at 5 km/h (4 mph) or more, a communication error between the airbag sensor assembly and the forward recognition camera is detected for approximately 4 seconds or more. U012687	Lost Communication with Steering Angle Sensor Module Missing Message	3 seconds after the power switch is turned on (IG), a communication error between the steering sensor and the forward recognition camera is detected for approximately 1 second or more.	CAN communication system
U012987	Lost Communication with Brake System Control Module Missing Message	3 seconds after the power switch is turned on (IG), a communication error between the skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) and the forward recognition camera is detected for approximately 1 second or more. U013187	Lost Communication with Power Steering Control Module Missing Message	3 seconds after the power switch is turned on (IG), a communication error between the power steering ECU (rack and pinion power steering gear assembly) and the forward recognition camera is detected for approximately 2 second or more. PROCEDURE

1.	CHECK FOR DTCs

(a) Clear the DTCs.

Body Electrical > Pre-Collision System > Clear DTCs

(b) Reproduce the vehicle conditions that were present when the DTCs that were noted were stored.

HINT:

If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect malfunctions.
