Overheat protection

Decreases wiper operating speed in order to protect the windshield wiper motor assembly if the windshield wiper motor assembly temperature becomes excessively high.

Prohibits wiper operation in HI when the temperature is 95°C (203°F) or higher.

Prohibits wiper operation in LO and HI when the temperature is 100°C (212°F) or higher.

Prohibits wiper operation when the temperature is 105°C (221°F) or higher.

The windshield wiper motor assembly returns to normal.

Snow protection
|
Reverses the direction of the wipers and decreases their operating range when an excessive load, due to snow, etc., is detected near the extremities of the wiper operating range.
In this case, operation is stopped at the lower reverse position for a certain period of time to prevent the motor from overheating.

Foreign matter, such as snow, is removed and the wiper operating range returns to normal.

Excessive load protection
|
Stops wiper operation when an excessive load is detected when the wipers are near the center of the wiper operating range.
|
The front wiper switch is turned off and then to any operating position.
