INSTALLATION
PROCEDURE
1. INSTALL REAR SPOILER RETAINER
HINT:
When installing a new rear spoiler retainer, heat the luggage compartment door panel and rear spoiler retainer using a heat light.

CAUTION:
- Do not touch the heat light and heated parts, touching the heat light may result in burns.
- Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

NOTICE:
Do not heat the luggage compartment door panel or rear spoiler retainer excessively.
(a) Clean the luggage compartment door panel surface.
(1) Using a heat light, heat the luggage compartment door panel surface.
(2) Remove any double-sided tape from the luggage compartment door panel.
(3) Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.
(b) Using a brush or felt, apply primer or equivalent to the rear spoiler retainer installation area.

NOTICE:
- Use a clean brush or felt.
- Do not touch the luggage compartment door panel until the primer has dried.
(c) Remove the release paper from a new rear spoiler retainer.
(d) Engage the 3 guides and attach the double-sided tape to install the rear spoiler retainer.
HINT:
Press the rear spoiler retainer firmly to install it.
(e) Install the rear spoiler retainer with the 6 clips.
2. INSTALL REAR SPOILER SUB-ASSEMBLY
HINT:
When installing a new rear spoiler, heat the luggage compartment door panel and rear spoiler sub-assembly using a heat light.

Press the rear spoiler firmly to install it.
(e) Install the rear spoiler sub-assembly with the 2 bolts.
Torque:
5.0 N·m {51 kgf·cm, 44 in·lbf}
