C1245

Abnormal Output in Deceleration Sensor

DESCRIPTION

The airbag sensor assembly has a built-in yaw rate and acceleration sensor and detects the vehicle condition using 2 circuits (GL1, GL2).

The skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) receives signals from the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) via the CAN communication system.

HINT:

When a malfunction occurs in the communication line to the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly), U0124 (Lost Communication With Lateral Acceleration Sensor Module) is output.

If a DTC related to the CAN communication line is output, first troubleshoot the CAN communication line.

A DTC may be stored if either of the following is detected:

  • Incorrect installation of acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly).
  • Abnormal acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) signal.

DTC No.

Abnormal Output in Deceleration Sensor

581

When the vehicle speed is 30 km/h (19 mph) or more, the difference between the deceleration value from the acceleration sensor and deceleration value calculated from the change in vehicle speed exceeds 0.35 G for 60 seconds or more.

  • Acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) installed improperly
  • Acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly)
