DESCRIPTION
The airbag sensor assembly has a built-in yaw rate and acceleration sensor and detects the vehicle condition using 2 circuits (GL1, GL2).
The skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) receives signals from the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) via CAN communication.
HINT:
If there are malfunctions in the bus lines between the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) and the CAN communication system, DTC U0124 (Lost Communication with Lateral Acceleration Sensor Module) will be stored.
If a DTC related to the CAN communication line is output, first troubleshoot the CAN communication line.
These DTCs (C1210 and C1336) will also be stored when zero point calibration has not been completed.
DTC No.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
NOTICE:
-
After replacing the skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly), perform linear solenoid valve offset learning, ABS holding solenoid valve learning, yaw rate and acceleration sensor zero point calibration and system information memorization after performing "Reset Memory".
-
After replacing or reinstalling the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly), perform yaw rate and acceleration sensor zero point calibration after clearing previously calibrated data.

HINT:
When U0124 is output together with C1210 and/or C1336, inspect and repair trouble areas indicated by U0124 first.

PROCEDURE
1.
|
PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION OF YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR
|
(a) Perform zero point calibration of the yaw rate and acceleration sensor.
NOTICE:
Make sure to perform linear solenoid valve offset learning, ABS holding solenoid valve learning, brake pedal stroke sensor assembly zero point calibration and system information memorization after performing "Reset Memory" as the data stored during linear solenoid valve offset learning, ABS holding solenoid valve learning, brake pedal stroke sensor assembly zero point calibration and system information memorization is cleared.

CHECK AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION
|
(a) Turn the power switch off.
(b) Check that the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) has been installed properly.
OK:
The yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) is tightened to the specified torque.
The yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) is not tilted.
