DESCRIPTION

The No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly sends the sound signal from an external device to the radio and display receiver assembly via this circuit.

The sound signal that has been sent is amplified by the radio and display receiver assembly and then is sent to the speakers.

If there is an open or short in the circuit, sound cannot be heard from the speakers even if there is no malfunction in the radio and display receiver assembly or speakers.

WIRING DIAGRAM

PROCEDURE

(a) Disconnect the K3 radio and display receiver assembly connector.

(b) Disconnect the K5 No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Resistance: Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition K3-14 (ADPG) - K5-5 (ADPG) Always Below 1 Ω K3-10 (AGND) - K5-6 (AGND) Always Below 1 Ω K3-12 (VAR+) - K5-2 (VAR+) Always Below 1 Ω K3-11 (VAL+) - K5-3 (VAL+) Always Below 1 Ω K3-13 (VA-) - K5-4 (VA-) Always Below 1 Ω K3-14 (ADPG) or K5-5 (ADPG) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher K3-10 (AGND) or K5-6 (AGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher K3-12 (VAR+) or K5-2 (VAR+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher K3-11 (VAL+) or K5-3 (VAL+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher K3-13 (VA-) or K5-4 (VA-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
