INSTALLATION

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

CAUTION:

Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Place the rear side seatback assembly LH in the cabin.

NOTICE:

Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

(b) Engage the hook and install the rear side seatback assembly LH with the bolt.

Torque:

18 N·m {184 kgf·cm, 13 ft·lbf}

(1) Before connecting the connector, check that the position of the white housing lock is correct as shown in the illustration.

(2) Be sure to engage the connectors until they are locked (when locking, make sure that a click sound can be heard).

NOTICE:

When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

When engaged, the white housing lock will slide. Be sure not to hold the white housing lock and upper part of the yellow CPA, as it may result in an insecure fit.

(d) Connect the rear seat outer belt LH to the rear seat shoulder belt guide LH.

2. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

3. INSTALL REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH

HINT:

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

4. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

5. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Place the rear seatback assembly LH in the cabin.

NOTICE:

Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

(b) for TMC Made:

(1) Engage the 2 guides.

(2) Install the rear seatback assembly LH with the 2 bolts.

Torque:

36.8 N·m {375 kgf·cm, 27 ft·lbf}

(3) Engage the fastener.

(1) Engage the 2 guides.

(2) Install the rear seatback assembly LH with the 2 bolts.

Torque:

36.8 N·m {375 kgf·cm, 27 ft·lbf}

(d) Return the rear seatback assembly LH to its original position.

6. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Place the rear seatback assembly RH in the cabin.

NOTICE:

Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

(b) for TMC Made:

(1) Engage the 2 guides.

(2) Install the rear seatback assembly RH with the 2 bolts.

Torque:

36.8 N·m {375 kgf·cm, 27 ft·lbf}

(3) Engage the fastener.

(1) Engage the 2 guides.

(2) Install the rear seatback assembly RH with the 2 bolts.

Torque:

36.8 N·m {375 kgf·cm, 27 ft·lbf}

(d) Return the rear seatback assembly RH to its original position.

7. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK

(a) Engage the 2 claws to install a new rear seat cushion lock hook as shown in the illustration.

HINT:

Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

Install in this Direction

8. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for TMMK Made)

(a) Place the rear seat cushion assembly in the cabin.

NOTICE:

Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

(b) Install the rear seat cushion assembly as shown in the illustration.

Install in this Direction

(1) Pass the rear seat inner belt assembly RH and rear center seat outer belt assembly through the rear seat cushion assembly as shown in the illustration.

(2) Pass the rear seat inner belt assembly RH and rear center seat outer belt assembly as shown in the illustration.

(3) Connect the rear seat inner belt assembly RH with the bolt and washer.

(4) Install the rear seat inner belt assembly RH and rear center seat outer belt assembly as a set with the bolt.

Protruding Part

Torque:

42 N·m {428 kgf·cm, 31 ft·lbf}

NOTICE:

Install the rear seat inner belt assembly RH with the arrow on the anchor part facing the front of the vehicle.
Do not allow the anchor part of the rear seat inner belt assembly RH to overlap the protruding parts of the floor panel.

(d) Engage the 2 rear seat cushion frame hooks as shown in the illustration to install the rear seat cushion assembly.

	Install in this Direction

NOTICE:

Confirm that the rear seat cushion assembly is securely installed.

(e) When installing a new rear seat inner belt assembly RH and rear center seat outer belt assembly:

(1) Connect the rear center seat outer belt assembly as shown in the illustration.

9. INSTALL REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY LH (for TMMK Made)

(a) w/ Removable Headrest:

(1) Install the rear seat headrest assembly LH.

10. INSTALL REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY RH (for TMMK Made)

(a) w/ Removable Headrest:

(1) Install the rear seat headrest assembly RH.

11. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for TMC Made)

(a) Place the rear seat cushion assembly in the cabin.

NOTICE:

Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

(b) Engage the 2 rear seat cushion frame hooks on the rear side of the rear seat cushion assembly as shown in the illustration.

*a	Rear Seat Cushion Frame Hook (Front Side)
*b	Rear Seat Cushion Frame Hook (Rear Side)
	Install in this Direction (1)
	Install in this Direction (2)

(c) Engage the 2 rear seat cushion frame hooks on the front side of the rear seat cushion assembly as shown in the illustration to install the rear seat cushion assembly.

NOTICE:

Confirm that the rear seat cushion assembly is securely installed.

12. CONNECT REAR CENTER SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for TMC Made)

(a) Connect the rear center seat outer belt assembly as shown in the illustration.

13. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

14. PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK
