No Cool Air Comes Out

DESCRIPTION

If warm air blows from the registers regardless of the temperature setting of the air conditioning system, the following suspected areas may be the cause.

  • Compressor assembly with pulley (compressor solenoid) malfunction
  • Refrigerant pressure is extremely high or low
  • Refrigerant volume (low)
  • Clogged cooler condenser assembly fins
  • Cooling fan system malfunction
  • Mechanical locking of damper and damper link
  • No. 1 cooler thermistor malfunction
  • High inlet air temperature

CHECK SWITCH INDICATOR

(a) Operate each switch on the air conditioning control panel (radio and display receiver assembly) and check that the switch indicators operate normally.

OK:

All switch indicators operate normally.

PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Air Conditioner / Active Test.

(e) Perform the Active Test according to the display on the Techstream.
