SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
OUTLINE
(a) Toyota Entune Remote Connect, which enables the user to check the vehicle status and operate the vehicle from a remote location, has been adopted.
(b) Toyota Entune Remote Connect is available by installing a dedicated smartphone application after entering a service contract*.

*: Toyota Entune Remote Connect cannot be operated until the user has entered a service contract.
(c) Toyota Entune Remote Connect services are performed through data communication between mainly a Toyota Entune Remote Connect capable DCM (telematics transceiver), the service center and a smartphone with the application installed.

Remote Operation

Remote Engine Start and Stop

Allows the user to start the engine and keep it running for a certain amount of time from a remote location via a smartphone or the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly. Performing the remote stop operation after the remote start operation has been performed changes the vehicle to the ignition switch off condition.*5

Starts the air conditioning system when the engine is remotely started, if the air conditioning system was on when the ignition switch was last turned off.

The air conditioning system or rear defogger may be operated by signals from the service center depending on the ambient temperature, even if the air conditioning system or defogger had been off when the ignition switch was last turned off.*6

When the engine is remotely started, the rear defogger may be operated by signals from the DCM (telematics transceiver) depending on the ambient temperature.*6

Remote Door Lock and Unlock

Allows the doors to be locked/unlocked from a remote location via a smartphone.*7

*1: If the latest vehicle information has not been sent from the vehicle due to the condition of the vehicle (such as if the DCM (telematics transceiver) is outside of the cellular telephone reception area), the most recently received information will be displayed.

*2: No notifications will be sent if the latest vehicle information has not been sent from the vehicle due to the condition of the vehicle (such as if the DCM (telematics transceiver) is outside of the cellular telephone reception area). Notifications may be delayed if the smartphone has poor reception.

*3: Only one notification per set condition will be sent during a single trip.

*4: If the smart key system has been canceled, vehicle status alerts notifications will not be sent to the user. If the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly is inside the vehicle or detected as being "inside cabin", vehicle status alerts notifications will not be sent.

*5: If the vehicle cannot receive the remote engine start and stop signal due to the condition of the vehicle (such as if the DCM (telematics transceiver) is outside of the cellular telephone reception area), the engine will not be started remotely. Additionally, the remote engine start and stop operation signal may not be received depending on vehicle conditions.

*6: The air conditioning system and rear defogger will automatically be operated according to the ambient temperature as shown in the following table:

*7: If the vehicle cannot receive a door lock/unlock signal due to the condition of the vehicle (such as if the DCM (telematics transceiver) is outside of the cellular telephone reception area), the door lock or unlock operation will not be performed. After a door unlock operation is performed, if the doors are not opened within a certain amount of time, the doors will automatically be locked.
