DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the blind spot monitor sensor LH detects an open in the outer rear view mirror indicator LH.

Both of the following conditions are met:

  • Blind spot monitor system is on.
  • The current flowing to the indicator is below a specified value when indicator operation voltage is being sent to the indicator.
  • Outer rear view mirror LH
  • Outer rear view mirror assembly LH
  • Harness or connector
  • Blind spot monitor sensor LH

NOTICE:

When checking for DTCs, make sure that the blind spot monitor system is on.

PROCEDURE

1.

CHECK DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs (See page 2018 - 2020 MY Sienna [11/2017 -        ]; PARK ASSIST / MONITORING: BLIND SPOT MONITOR SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).

(b) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

OK:

No DTCs are output.

USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH - OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH)

(a) Disconnect the q3 blind spot monitor sensor LH connector.

(b) Disconnect the H17*1 or H13*2 outer rear view mirror assembly LH connector.

  • *1: w/ Seat Position Memory System
  • *2: w/o Seat Position Memory System

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

(a) Disconnect the H17*1 or H13*2 outer rear view mirror assembly LH connector.

  • *1: w/ Seat Position Memory System
  • *2: w/o Seat Position Memory System

(b) Disconnect the IND2 outer rear view mirror LH (outer rear view mirror indicator LH) connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

(a) Replace the outer rear view mirror LH (outer rear view mirror indicator LH) (See page 2018 - 2020 MY Sienna [11/2017 -        ]; MIRROR (EXT): OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR: REMOVAL ).

CHECK DTC
