When replacing the radio and display receiver assembly, always replace it with a new one. If a radio and display receiver assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the following may occur:

A communication malfunction DTC is stored.

The radio and display receiver assembly may not operate normally.

(a) Check that the vehicle and smartphone meet the following conditions:

If changing smartphone settings, updating software, etc. is necessary, make sure to obtain the permission of the customer before performing it.

The smartphone is "MirrorLink ("Wi-Fi")" compatible.

The smartphone is registered as a "MirrorLink ("Wi-Fi")" device.

"MirrorLink ("Wi-Fi")" setting of the smartphone is on.
-
"MirrorLink ("Wi-Fi")" setting of the radio and display receiver assembly is on.
-
Operating system and software of the smartphone are the latest versions.
-
There are no other radio wave emitting devices ("Bluetooth" communication device, etc.) in the cabin.
-
The "Bluetooth" setting of the smartphone is off.
-
The "Wi-Fi" tethering setting of the smartphone is off.
HINT:
Typically the default of MirrorLink connection setting is USB, it is required to turn "Wi-Fi" connection on manually. Some smartphone may not support "Wi-Fi" connection, in that case, only USB connection is available.
(b) Connect the smartphone to the in-vehicle device and check that it is connected correctly.
