DESCRIPTION
This DTC indicates a malfunction in the ECM.
HINT:
The ECM receives signals from each sensor to control all the functions of the cruise control with the microcomputer. When a malfunction is detected, fail-safe remains on until the ignition switch is turned off.

ECM has a supervisory CPU and control ECU inside. When each input STP signal is different for 0.15 seconds or more, this trouble code is output. This trouble code is also output after 0.4 seconds have passed from the time a cruise cancel input signal (STP input) is input to the ECM.

PROCEDURE

CHECK FOR DTCs (RADAR CRUISE 1)
|
(a) Clear the DTCs.

(b) Perform the following to make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.
HINT:
If the following conditions are not met, the malfunction cannot be detected.

Drive the vehicle at a speed for which dynamic radar cruise control operation is possible.

Turn the cruise control system on using the cruise control main switch (ON-OFF button).
-
Depress the brake pedal for 0.4 seconds or more.
(c) Check for DTCs.
