Zero Point Calibration of Acceleration Sensor Undone
|
DESCRIPTION
The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) receives signals from the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) via the CAN communication system.
The airbag sensor assembly has a built-in yaw rate and acceleration sensor and detects the vehicle's condition using 2 circuits (GL1, GL2). If there is trouble in the bus lines between the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) and the CAN communication system, the DTC U0124 (Lost Communication with Lateral Acceleration Sensor Module) is output.
The DTCs are also output when the calibration has not been completed.
DTC No.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
NOTICE:
-
When replacing the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly), perform zero point calibration and store system information (See page
).
-
When replacing the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly), perform zero point calibration and store system information (See page
).
HINT:
When U0124 is output along with C1210 and/or C1336, inspect and repair trouble areas indicated by U0124 first (See page
).
PROCEDURE
1.
|
PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION OF YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR
|
(a) Perform zero point calibration of the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (See page
).

2.
|
PERFORM TEST MODE (SIGNAL CHECK)
|
(a) Turn the ignition switch off.
(b) Using the Techstream, perform a Test Mode (signal check) inspection sensor check and check that all Test Mode (signal check) inspection items change from incomplete to complete (See page
).
OK:
All Test Mode (signal check) inspection items change from incomplete to complete

|
CHECK AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION
|
(a) Turn the ignition switch off.
(b) Check that the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) has been installed properly (See page
).
OK:
The sensor should be tightened to the specified torque.
The sensor should not be installed in a tilted position.
