Backup Battery Failure

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is set when the DCM (Telematics Transceiver) detects one of the following:

The BUB (Back-Up Battery) voltage drops or the BUB (Back-Up Battery) malfunctions.
The BUB (Back-Up Battery) temperature is (temporarily) high.

HINT:

Before performing this diagnostic procedure, make sure to perform Health Check and confirm that the DCM/VIN registration information is correct.

CHECK DTC

(a) Turn the ignition switch off.

(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(d) Turn the Techstream on.

(e) Perform "HEALTH CHECK" and check for current DTCs (See page ).

2.	REPLACE BUB (BACK-UP BATTERY)

(a) Replace the BUB (Back-Up Battery) with a normal one and check if the same problem occurs again (See page ).

NOTICE:

The BUB (Back-Up Battery) must not be replaced while an ACN call is in progress (See page ).

CLEAR DTC

(a) Clear the DTC (See page ).

4.	RECHECK DTC

(a) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again (See page ).

OK:

No DTC is output.

5.	REPLACE DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER)

(a) Replace the DCM (Telematics Transceiver) (See page ).
