REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. PRECAUTION

NOTICE:

After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

2. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID

NOTICE:

If brake fluid leaks onto any painted surface, immediately wash it off.

3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

4. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR WITH BRACKET

(a) Disconnect the air conditioner pressure sensor connector and separate the harness clamp.

(b) Remove the bolt and separate the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly from the body.

NOTICE:

Do not damage the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly.

(c) Release the lock lever and disconnect the brake actuator connector.

NOTICE:

Be careful not to allow brake fluid to enter the removed connector.

(d) Separate the harness clamp from the brake actuator bracket assembly.

(e) Using union nut wrenches (10 mm and 12 mm), disconnect the 6 brake lines from the brake actuator with bracket.

(f) Use tags or make a memo to identify the places to reconnect.

From 1st of master cylinder

From 2nd of master cylinder

(g) Remove the bolt, 2 nuts and brake actuator with bracket from the body.

NOTICE:

Do not damage the brake lines or wire harness.

5. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 3 bolts and brake actuator assembly from the brake actuator bracket assembly.
