DESCRIPTION
When the brake pedal is depressed, stop light switch assembly sends a signal to the ECM. Upon receiving the signal, the ECM cancels the cruise control system.

CHECK TERMINAL VOLTAGE (STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the stop light switch assembly connector.

(b) Perform the following to make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.
HINT:
If the detection conditions are not met, the malfunction cannot be detected.
(1) Turn the cruise control system on using the cruise control main switch (ON/OFF).
