DESCRIPTION
When the brake pedal is depressed, stop light switch assembly sends a signal to the ECM. Upon receiving the signal, the ECM cancels the cruise control system.

CHECK TERMINAL VOLTAGE (STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) |

(a) Disconnect the stop light switch assembly connector. |
|
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

(a) Disconnect the A69 ECM connector.
(b) Disconnect the A58*1 or A59*2 stop light switch assembly connector.
- *1: for Bulb Type Stop Light
- *2: for LED Type Stop Light
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

CHECK FOR DTCs |
(a) Clear the DTCs.

(b) Perform the following to make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.
HINT:
If the detection conditions are not met, the malfunction cannot be detected.
(1) Turn the cruise control system on using the cruise control main switch (ON/OFF).
(c) Check for DTCs.
