INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the wire harness clamp stay with the bolt.

Torque:

8.4 N·m {85 kgf·cm, 74 in·lbf}

(b) Connect the wire harness clamp.

(c) Type A:

(1) Install the generator assembly with the 2 bolts.

Torque:

43 N·m {438 kgf·cm, 32 ft·lbf}

(2) Temporarily install the generator assembly bracket with the 2 bolts.

(3) Fully tighten the 2 bolts.

Torque:

20 N·m {204 kgf·cm, 15 ft·lbf}

(d) Type B:

(1) Install the generator assembly bracket to the generator assembly with the bolt.

Torque:

20 N·m {204 kgf·cm, 15 ft·lbf}

(2) Install the generator assembly with the 2 bolts.

Torque:

43 N·m {438 kgf·cm, 32 ft·lbf}

(3) Install the nut.

Torque:

20 N·m {204 kgf·cm, 15 ft·lbf}

(e) Install the generator wire with the nut.

Torque:

12 N·m {122 kgf·cm, 9 ft·lbf}

(f) Install the terminal cap.

(g) Connect the 2 wire harness clamps.

(h) Connect the compressor and magnetic clutch connector.

2. INSTALL ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE

(a) Install a new engine oil level dipstick guide O-ring to the engine oil level dipstick guide.

(b) Apply a light coat of engine oil to the engine oil level dipstick guide O-ring.

(c) Insert the engine oil level dipstick guide end into the oil pan sub-assembly.

(d) Using a 17 mm union nut wrench, install the engine oil level dipstick guide to the camshaft housing sub-assembly LH with the bolt. Torque: Specified tightening torque : 21 N·m {214 kgf·cm, 15 ft·lbf} HINT: Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench. Click here When using 12 mm union nut wrench (fulcrum length of 20 mm (0.79 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 162mm (6.38 in.)): 18.7 N*m (191 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf)

3. INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT

4. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY WITH FAN SHROUD AND FAN MOTOR

5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

Torque:

5.4 N·m {55 kgf·cm, 48 in·lbf}

NOTICE:

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
