HYDRAULIC TEST
PERFORM HYDRAULIC TEST
(a) Measure the line pressure.
CAUTION:
A line pressure test should always be carried out with at least 2 people. One person should observe the condition of wheels and wheel chocks while the other is performing the test.
(1) Warm up the ATF.
(2) Turn the ignition switch off.
(3) Lift the vehicle.
(4) Remove the engine under cover.
(5) Remove the test plug A on the front side of the transaxle case and install SST.

(6) Lower the vehicle.
(7) Fully apply the parking brake and chock all 4 wheels.
(8) Start the engine and check the idle speed.
(9) Keep your left foot firmly on the brake pedal and move the shift lever to D.
(10) Measure the line pressure while the engine is idling.
Specified Line Pressure:

(11) Depress the accelerator pedal as much as possible with your right foot. Quickly read the highest line pressure reading when the engine speed reaches stall speed.

(12) Turn the ignition switch off.
(13) Remove SST and install the test plug A.
(14) Remove the test plug B on the left side of the transaxle case and install SST.

(15) Start the engine and check the idle speed.
(16) Keep your left foot firmly on the brake pedal and move the shift lever to R.
(17) Measure the line pressure while the engine is idling.

(18) Depress the accelerator pedal as much as possible with your right foot. Quickly read the highest line pressure reading when the engine speed reaches stall speed.

(19) Turn the ignition switch off.
(20) Remove SST and install the test plug B.
(21) Clear the DTCs.
