Touch Sensor Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When the power back door ECU (power back door motor unit) receives a jam signal from the touch sensor while the power back door is operating, the ECU reverses the back door operation and opens the door.

PROCEDURE

1.

READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (PBD TOUCH SENSOR)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Back Door / Data List.

(e) Check the Data List for proper functioning of the power back door touch sensor.

(a) Disconnect the W4 power back door touch sensor LH connector.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
