REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH

(a) Remove the 4 screws and the front wheel opening extension pad LH.

2. SEPARATE FRONT FENDER LINER LH

(a) Using a screwdriver, turn the pin 90 degrees and remove the pin hold clip.

(b) Remove the 2 clips.

(c) Remove the 2 screws.

3. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

4. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)

5. REMOVE HOOD LOCK NUT CAP

(a) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, remove the hood lock nut cap. Text in Illustration *1 Protective Tape

6. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the connector.

(b) Remove the 3 bolts and hood lock.

(c) Disconnect the hood lock control cable.

7. REMOVE DOOR SCUFF PLATE ASSEMBLY LH

Use the same procedure as for the RH side (See page ).

8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

9. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH

HINT:

Use the same procedure as for the RH side (See page ).

10. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL LOWER FINISH PANEL

11. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the hood lock control cable from hood lock control lever.

(b) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disconnect the clamps shown in the illustration.

(c) Pull the cable from the engine room and remove it.
