ADJUSTMENT
CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
HINT:
- Centering bolts are used to mount the hood hinge and hood lock. The hood and hood lock cannot be adjusted with the centering bolts in. Substitute standard bolts (with washers) for the centering bolts when making adjustments.

PROCEDURE
1. ADJUST HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY
|
(a) Loosen the 4 hood side hinge bolts. |
|
(b) Move the hood to adjust the clearance to within the standard range (See page
).
(c) Tighten the 4 hood side hinge bolts after the adjustment.
Torque:
13 N·m {133 kgf·cm, 10 ft·lbf}

(d) Adjust the height of the hood front end by turning the cushion rubber (See page
HINT: The cushion rubber can be raised and lowered by turning it. |

2. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE SUB-ASSEMBLY
3. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)
4. REMOVE HOOD LOCK NUT CAP
5. ADJUST HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

(a) Loosen the 3 bolts. |

|
(b) Adjust the hood lock position so that the striker can enter it smoothly. |
|
(c) Tighten the 3 bolts after the adjustment.
Torque:
8.0 N·m {82 kgf·cm, 71 in·lbf}
6. INSTALL HOOD LOCK NUT CAP
7. INSTALL MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)
8. ADJUST MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)
9. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE SUB-ASSEMBLY
