INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the instrument panel sub-assembly with the 8 <A>, <D> bolts and <F> nut.

Torque:

Bolt <D> :

20 N·m {204 kgf·cm, 15 ft·lbf}

(b) Engage the clamps.

2. CONNECT NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE

(a) Connect the connector.

NOTICE:

When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

3. INSTALL FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY

5. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PLATE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Connect the connector.

(b) Engage the 4 claws and 6 clips to install the instrument panel finish plate sub-assembly.

6. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the 5 claws and 2 clips to install the No. 2 instrument panel speaker panel sub-assembly.

7. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

HINT:

Use the same procedure as for the No. 2 instrument panel speaker panel sub-assembly.

8. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR LOWER GARNISH RH

12. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD RETAINER

(a) Engage the 2 guides to install the No. 1 instrument panel safety pad retainer.

(b) Install the 2 <B> screws.

13. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY

(a) Connect the connector. (w/ Entry and Start System)

(b) Engage the 5 clips to install the lower instrument panel finish panel assembly.

14. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL BOX DOOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the 7 clips to install the No. 2 instrument panel box door sub-assembly.

(b) Install the 2 <B> screws.

15. INSTALL NO. 3 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the 4 clips to install the No. 3 instrument panel register assembly.

16. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the 11 clips to install the instrument panel finish panel sub-assembly.

17. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH

(a) Engage the 7 clips to install the No. 2 instrument cluster finish panel garnish.

(b) Close the No. 2 instrument panel box door sub-assembly.

18. INSTALL DISC PLAYER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET (w/ Disc Player)

19. INSTALL STEREO OPENING COVER (w/ Disc Player)

20. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH CENTER PANEL ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the 5 clips to install the instrument cluster finish center panel assembly.

(b) Install the 2 <B> screws.

21. INSTALL BOX BOTTOM MAT

(a) Install the box bottom mat.

22. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH LOWER CENTER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Connect the connectors.

(b) Engage the 4 claws and 2 clips to install the instrument cluster finish lower center panel sub-assembly.

(c) Install the 2 <E> bolts (w/o front console box).

(d) Install the 3 clips.

23. INSTALL INSTRUMENT LOWER CENTER COVER (w/o Front Console Box)

(a) Engage the 7 clips to install the instrument lower center cover.

24. INSTALL INSTRUMENT LOWER CENTER COVER (w/ Front Console Box)

(a) Engage the 6 clips to install the instrument lower center cover.

25. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH

(a) Install the instrument panel finish panel end RH with the clip.

26. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH

HINT:

Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

27. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the 3 guides and 2 claws to install the glove compartment door sub-assembly.

(b) Install the 2 <A> bolts and 2 <B> screws.

28. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL CUP HOLDER ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the 2 guides to install the instrument panel cup holder assembly.

(b) Install the 2 <B> screws.

29. INSTALL NO. 1 SWITCH HOLE BASE

(a) Connect the connectors.

(b) Engage the 5 clips to install the No. 1 switch hole base.

(c) Install the <B> screws.

30. INSTALL NO. 2 SWITCH HOLE BASE

(a) Engage the 3 clips to install the No. 2 switch hole base.

31. INSTALL RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET (for Radio Receiver Type)

33. INSTALL CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the 13 clips to install the center instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly.

34. INSTALL FLOOR SHIFT POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING SUB-ASSEMBLY

38. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL LOWER FINISH PANEL

(a) Connect the connectors.

(b) Engage the 2 guides and claw to install the hood lock control lever.

(c) Engage the 2 guides and claw to install the fuel lid lock open lever.

(d) Engage the 3 guides and 9 clips to install the No. 1 instrument panel lower finish panel.

(e) Install the 2 <A> bolts.

39. INSTALL COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

40. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the 5 clips to install the No. 1 instrument panel register assembly.

41. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL LOWER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Connect the connectors.

(b) Engage the 7 clips to install the instrument panel lower finish panel sub-assembly LH.

42. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH

(a) Engage the 5 claws and 2 guides to install the instrument side panel RH.

43. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH

HINT:

Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

44. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH

(a) Engage the guide and 2 clips to install the No. 1 instrument cluster finish panel garnish.

45. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL

(a) Engage the 5 clips to install the No. 1 instrument cluster finish panel.

46. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the 15 clips to install the No. 1 instrument panel garnish sub-assembly.

47. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

(a) Install the front door opening trim weatherstrip RH.

5.4 N·m {55 kgf·cm, 48 in·lbf}

NOTICE:
