REMOVAL
CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
PROCEDURE
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See page

2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat)
(a) Remove the front seat assembly (See page
).
3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat)
(a) Remove the front seat assembly (See page
).
4. REMOVE NO. 1 FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD (for Power Seat)
5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD RH (for Manual Seat)
6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD RH (for Power Seat)
7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY
(a) Disengage the clips and disconnect the connectors.

(b) Remove the nut and front seat inner belt. |
