DISASSEMBLY

CAUTION:

Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LEG COVER LH

(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front seat leg cover LH.

2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LEG COVER RH

HINT:

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

3. REMOVE SEAT LEG COVER LH

(a) Using a clip remover, remove the clip.

(b) Remove the screw and seat leg cover LH.

4. REMOVE SEAT LEG COVER RH

HINT:

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

5. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (for Front Passenger Seat)

6. REMOVE NO. 1 FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD

(a) Using a clip remover, disengage the 2 clips.

(b) Disengage the 4 claws to remove the No. 1 front seat inner cushion shield.

7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD RH

(a) Disengage the clip and 5 claws to remove the front seat cushion inner shield RH.

8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY

9. REMOVE SEAT POSITION SENSOR

10. REMOVE SEAT SLIDE POSITION SENSOR PROTECTOR

11. REMOVE RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

(a) Apply protective tape around the front seat cushion inner shield LH. Text in Illustration *a Protective Tape

(b) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 2 claws to remove the reclining power seat switch knob.

12. REMOVE SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

(a) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 2 claws to remove the slide and vertical power seat switch knob. Text in Illustration *a Protective Tape

13. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD LH

(a) Disengage the 3 claws, clip and guide to remove the front seat cushion inner shield LH.

(b) Disconnect the 2 connectors.

(c) Disengage the 3 claws to open the wire harness cover.

(d) Disengage the 3 wire harness clamps to disconnect the seat wire connector.

14. REMOVE POWER SEAT SWITCH

(a) for Seat Position Memory System: (1) Remove the 3 screws. (2) Disconnect the 2 connectors to remove the power seat switch.

(b) except Seat Position Memory System: (1) Remove the 3 screws. (2) Disconnect the connector to remove the power seat switch.

15. REMOVE LUMBAR SWITCH

(a) Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 claws.

(b) Disconnect the lumbar switch connector to remove the lumbar switch.

16. REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE

(a) Remove the seat band.

(b) for Driver Side: (1) Disconnect the 4 connectors and 8 wire clamps.

(c) for Front Passenger Side:

(1) Disconnect the 8 connectors and 8 wire clamps.

(d) Remove the 3 hog rings.

(e) Disconnect the 2 connectors to remove the front seat wire.

17. REMOVE SEAT HEATER CONTROL

(a) Disengage the clip to remove the seat heater control.

18. REMOVE SEAT ARMREST COVER LH

(a) Disengage the 2 claws to remove the seat armrest cover LH.

19. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ARMREST ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the bolt , 2 washers and front seat armrest assembly.

20. REMOVE NO. 1 FRONT SEATBACK HOOK

(a) Disengage the 4 claws to remove the No. 1 front seatback hook cover.

(b) Remove the screw and No. 1 front seatback hook.

21. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT

(a) Disengage the 4 clamps to separate the side airbag wire.

(b) Remove the 3 hog rings.

(c) Disengage the 2 claws to remove the front seat headrest support. HINT: Use the same procedure for both sides.

22. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

(a) Remove the 2 nuts and seatback cover and pad.

(b) Disengage the fastening tape and remove the 9 hog rings and front seatback cover. Text in Illustration *1 Fastening Tape

23. REMOVE FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

24. REMOVE SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY

25. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

(a) Disengage the 2 hooks.

(b) Disengage the 7 hooks to remove the seat cushion cover with pad.

26. REMOVE FRONT SEAT AIRBAG SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (for Front Passenger Side)

27. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

(a) Remove the 16 hog rings and front seat cushion cover.

28. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY

29. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

(a) Disengage the claw to remove the reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

30. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

HINT:

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

31. REMOVE SEAT RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER

(a) Disengage the claw to remove the seat reclining adjuster inside cover.

32. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH (for Driver Side)

(a) Remove the screw and seat cushion edge protector LH.

33. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH (for Driver Side)

HINT:

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

34. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Remove the screw and seat cushion edge protector LH.

35. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH (for Front Passenger Side)

HINT:

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

36. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD LH

(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Disengage the hook to remove the seat cushion lower shield LH.

37. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD RH

HINT:

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

38. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK SPRING ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 4 bolts and front seatback spring assembly.
