This circuit supplies power to the seat belt control ECU.

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE

1.

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (GND CIRCUIT)

(a) Disconnect the D84 seat belt control ECU connectors.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

Tester Connection

Condition

Specified Condition

D84-8 (PGND) - Body ground

Always

Below 1 Ω

(c) Reconnect the seat belt control ECU connector.

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (GND CIRCUIT)

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (IG1 CIRCUIT)

(a) Disconnect the D83 and D84 seat belt control ECU connectors.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(c) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:

D83-8 (IG1) - D84-8 (PGND)

Ignition switch ON

11 to 14 V
