DESCRIPTION
- DTC 2287 is stored when there is an open or short circuit or an ECU communication malfunction between the certification ECU (smart key ECU) and power management control ECU.
- DTC 278C is stored when LIN communication between the certification ECU and power management control ECU stops for 10 seconds or more.

NOTICE:
- If the certification ECU (smart key ECU) is replaced, register the key.

When using the Techstream to troubleshoot with the engine switch off:
Connect the Techstream to the DLC3, and turn the courtesy switch on and off at 1.5-second intervals until communication between the Techstream and vehicle begins.
- Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

(a) Disconnect the D88 certification ECU (smart key ECU) and D89 power management control ECU connectors. |
|
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
