DESCRIPTION

This DTC is set when the DCM (Telematics Transceiver) detects an open or short circuit in the manual (SOS) switch.

PROCEDURE

1.

CHECK DTC

(a) Turn the ignition switch off.

(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(c) Turn the ignition switch to ON and wait for 10 seconds.

(d) Turn the Techstream on.

(e) Perform "HEALTH CHECK" and check current DTC (See page 2016 - 2017 MY Sienna [12/2015 - 11/2017]; CELLULAR COMMUNICATION: SAFETY CONNECT SYSTEM: HEALTH CHECK 2018 - 2020 MY Sienna [11/2017 -        ]; CELLULAR COMMUNICATION: SAFETY CONNECT SYSTEM: HEALTH CHECK ).

INSPECT ROOF CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY (MANUAL (SOS) SWITCH)

(a) Disconnect the T4 roof console box assembly connector.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

(a) Disconnect the D73 DCM (Telematics Transceiver) connector.

(b) Disconnect the T4 roof console box assembly connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  • The ignition switch must be off.
  • Do not swap the DCM (Telematics Transceiver) with one from another vehicle.

5.

READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (MANUAL (SOS) SWITCH OPERATION)

(a) Turn the ignition switch off.

(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(c) Turn the ignition switch to ON and wait for 10 seconds.

(d) Turn the Techstream on.

(e) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Telematics / Data List.

(f) Check that the manual (SOS) switch condition observed on the Techstream changes according to manual (SOS) switch operation.

(a) Remove the DCM (Telematics Transceiver) but do not disconnect the connectors (See page 2016 - 2017 MY Sienna [12/2015 - 11/2017]; CELLULAR COMMUNICATION: MAYDAY ECU: REMOVAL 2018 - 2020 MY Sienna [11/2017 -        ]; CELLULAR COMMUNICATION: MAYDAY ECU: REMOVAL ).

(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
