DTC

C120B

IG Supply Voltage Low

DESCRIPTION

DTC Code

DTC Detection Condition

Trouble Area

C120B

Either of the following is detected:

  1. The voltage at terminal IG1 is currently 8.4 V or less or there is a record of the voltage being 8.4 V or less, and there is a master cylinder pressure sensor output malfunction for 0.2 seconds or more.
  2. Noise occurs in the PMC terminal 0.2 seconds or more.
  • Low power supply voltage
  • Skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly)

WIRING DIAGRAM

Refer to DTC C1241 (See page 2016 MY Sienna [12/2015 - 08/2016]; BRAKE CONTROL / DYNAMIC CONTROL SYSTEMS: VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM: C1241; Low Power Supply Voltage Malfunction+ 2017 MY Sienna [08/2016 - 11/2017]; BRAKE CONTROL / DYNAMIC CONTROL SYSTEMS: VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM: C1241; Low Power Supply Voltage Malfunction ).

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

NOTICE:

  • When replacing the brake actuator assembly, perform zero point calibration and store system information (See page 2016 - 2017 MY Sienna [12/2015 - 11/2017]; BRAKE CONTROL / DYNAMIC CONTROL SYSTEMS: VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM: CALIBRATION ).
  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE

1.

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (IG1 TERMINAL)

(a) Make sure that there is no looseness at the locking part and the connecting part of the connector.

(b) Disconnect the A4 skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector.

(c) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(d) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:

2.

RECONFIRM DTC

(a) Reconnect the skid control ECU connector.

(b) Clear the DTCs (See page 2016 - 2017 MY Sienna [12/2015 - 11/2017]; BRAKE CONTROL / DYNAMIC CONTROL SYSTEMS: VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).

(c) Start the engine.

(d) Drive the vehicle at a speed of 20 km/h (12 mph) or more for 30 seconds or more.

(e) Check if the same DTC is recorded (See page 2016 - 2017 MY Sienna [12/2015 - 11/2017]; BRAKE CONTROL / DYNAMIC CONTROL SYSTEMS: VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).
