Yaw Rate Sensor Discrimination

DESCRIPTION

C1240	The yaw rate and acceleration sensor identification information stored in the skid control ECU is not consistent with the yaw rate and acceleration sensor identification information sent via CAN communication continuously for 1 second or more.	Yaw rate and acceleration sensor Brake actuator assembly (Skid control ECU)

HINT:

This DTC is frequently recorded when a standalone yaw rate and acceleration sensor is connected to a vehicle that is w/o VDIM.

NOTICE:

When replacing the brake actuator assembly or yaw rate and acceleration sensor, perform zero point calibration and store system information (See page ).
If the vehicle is w/o VDIM, confirm that a standalone yaw rate and acceleration sensor is not installed. If a standalone yaw rate and acceleration sensor is installed, remove it.

1.	CHECK VEHICLE EQUIPMENT

(a) Confirm whether the vehicle is w/ VDIM or w/o VDIM.

2.	CHECK PART NUMBER (YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR)

(a) Check that the part number of the installed yaw rate and acceleration sensor is correct.

OK:

Yaw rate and acceleration sensor installed in the vehicle has the correct part number.

3.	RECONFIRM DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs (See page ).

(b) Check if the same DTC is recorded (See page ).
