INSTALLATION

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

NOTICE:

When disconnecting the steering intermediate shaft assembly and pinion shaft of steering link assembly, be sure to place matchmarks before servicing.

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BAR

(a) Install the front stabilizer bar from the left side of the vehicle.

2. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BAR BUSHING

(a) Install the 2 front No. 1 stabilizer bar bushings to the front stabilizer bar as shown in the illustration. Text in Illustration *a Cutout *b Front of the Vehicle *c Inside of the Vehicle NOTICE: When installing the front No. 1 stabilizer bar bushings, make sure that the cutout faces the rear of the vehicle.

3. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BRACKET LH

(a) Install the front No. 1 stabilizer bracket LH to the front frame assembly with the 2 bolts.

Torque:

33 N·m {337 kgf·cm, 24 ft·lbf}

4. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BRACKET RH

HINT:

Perform the same procedure as the LH side.

5. INSTALL FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY LH

6. INSTALL FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

7. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Install the front stabilizer link assembly LH with the 2 nuts.

Torque:

for Upper Side :

130 N·m {1326 kgf·cm, 96 ft·lbf}

for Lower Side :

74 N·m {755 kgf·cm, 55 ft·lbf}

HINT:

If the ball joint turns together with the nut, using a 6 mm hexagon wrench to hold the stud bolt.

8. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH

HINT:

Perform the same procedure as the LH side.

9. CONNECT TIE ROD ASSEMBLY LH

10. INSTALL FRONT SPEED SENSOR LH

11. INSTALL FRONT AXLE SHAFT NUT LH

12. INSTALL FRONT WHEELS

Torque:

103 N·m {1050 kgf·cm, 76 ft·lbf}

13. INSPECT SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL
