REMOVAL
PROCEDURE
1. REMOVE REAR DIFFERENTIAL FILLER PLUG

2. REMOVE REAR DIFFERENTIAL DRAIN PLUG
3. REMOVE REAR WHEELS
4. REMOVE PROPELLER WITH CENTER BEARING SHAFT ASSEMBLY

5. REMOVE REAR DIFFERENTIAL PROTECTOR
|
(a) Remove the 4 bolts and rear differential protector. |
|
6. REMOVE TAIL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY
7. SEPARATE REAR DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY LH
8. SEPARATE REAR DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY RH
HINT:
Use the same procedures as for the LH side.
9. REMOVE REAR DIFFERENTIAL
|
(a) Disconnect the connector and separate the wire harness clamp. NOTICE: Do not damage the electro magnetic control coupling wire harness. |
|
(b) Disconnect the vacuum hose.
(c) Set the rear differential onto the transmission jack.
NOTICE:
Install a height adjustment attachment and plate lift attachment onto the rear differential.
HINT:
Place the differential on wooden blocks or equivalents so that the differential is level.

(d) Remove the 3 bolts and remove the rear differential. |

10. REMOVE REAR DIFFERENTIAL DYNAMIC DAMPER
|
(a) Remove the 2 bolts and rear differential dynamic damper. |
|
11. REMOVE REAR DIFFERENTIAL NO. 1 SUPPORT
|
(a) Remove the 4 bolts and rear differential No. 1 support. |
|
12. REMOVE REAR DIFFERENTIAL UPPER MOUNT STOPPER
|
(a) Remove the 2 rear differential upper mount stoppers from the rear differential support. |
|
13. REMOVE REAR DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT ASSEMBLY
|
(a) Remove the 4 bolts and rear differential support. |
|
|
|
