PROCEDURE
1. REMOVE ENGINE ASSEMBLY WITH TRANSAXLE

2. REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY
3. REMOVE MANIFOLD STAY
4. DISCONNECT BREATHER PLUG HOSE
5. DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE
6. REMOVE TRANSFER STIFFENER PLATE RH

(a) Remove the 4 bolts and transfer stiffener plate RH. |
|
7. REMOVE AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY
8. REMOVE TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH ASSEMBLY
9. REMOVE TRANSFER ASSEMBLY
|
(a) Remove the 8 nuts. |
|
(b) Using a plastic hammer, remove the transfer from the automatic transaxle.
NOTICE:
- Remove the transfer from the automatic transaxle without tilting it.
- During removal, do not hold the transfer by the oil seals on either side of the assembly.

(c) Remove the 4 transfer and transaxle setting stud bolts. |
