DESCRIPTION

This DTC indicates a malfunction in the ECM.

HINT:

The ECM receives signals from each sensor to control all the functions of the cruise control with the microcomputer. When a malfunction is detected, fail-safe remains on until the ignition switch is turned off.

ECM has a supervisory CPU and control ECU inside. When each input STP signal is different for 0.15 seconds or more, this trouble code is output. This trouble code is also output after 0.4 seconds have passed from the time a cruise cancel input signal (STP input) is input to the ECM.

PROCEDURE

1.

CHECK DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs (See page 2016 MY Sienna [12/2015 - 08/2016]; CRUISE CONTROL: DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).

(b) Perform the following to make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

HINT:

If the detection conditions are not met, the malfunction cannot be detected.

(1) Drive the vehicle at a speed of 50 km/h (30 mph) or more.

(2) Turn the cruise control main switch on.

(3) Push the -SET switch to activate the cruise control.

(c) Check for DTCs (See page 2016 MY Sienna [12/2015 - 08/2016]; CRUISE CONTROL: DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).
