REMOVAL
PROCEDURE
1. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY

2. REMOVE FRONT OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
3. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
4. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
5. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
6. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET COVER ASSEMBLY SEAL
|
(a) Disengage the 3 vacuum hose clamps. |
|
(b) Remove the 2 bolts and the air cleaner inlet cover assembly seal.
7. REMOVE AIR CLEANER AND HOSE
|
(a) Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector. |
|
(b) Disengage the wire harness clamp.
|
(c) Disconnect the vacuum hose. |
|
(d) Separate the vacuum hose from the hose clamp.
|
(e) Disconnect the vacuum switching valve connector. |
|
(f) Disengage the 2 wire harness clamps.
|
(g) Disconnect the 2 vacuum hoses. |
|
|
(h) Loosen the clip and disconnect the No. 2 ventilation hose. |
|
|
(i) Separate the fuel vapor feed hose from the hose clamp. |
|
(j) Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the air cleaner hose.
|
(k) Remove the 2 bolts and the air cleaner assembly. |
|
8. DISCONNECT WATER BY-PASS HOSE
|
(a) Loosen the clip and disconnect the water by-pass hose. |
|
9. DISCONNECT NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS HOSE
|
(a) Loosen the clip and disconnect the No. 2 water by-pass hose. |
|
10. REMOVE THROTTLE WITH MOTOR BODY ASSEMBLY
|
(a) Disconnect the throttle body connector and the wire harness clamp. |
|
(b) Remove the 4 bolts, wire harness clamp stay and the throttle body.
(c) Remove the gasket from the intake air surge tank assembly.
