Turn Signal Switch Replacement
Removal Procedure
  1. Extend the steering column to its furthest point to allow the instrument panel steering column upper trim cover to clear the instrument panel.

  2. Using a small plastic trim tool, separate the instrument panel steering column upper trim cover (1) from the instrument panel steering column lower trim cover.
  3. Instrument Panel Steering Column Upper Trim Cover(1)»Reposition

  4. Turn the steering wheel approximately 90 degrees to the left of the centered position.
  5. Instrument Panel Steering Column Lower Trim Cover Bolt(1)»Remove

  6. Turn the steering wheel approximately 90 degrees to the right of the centered position.
  7. Instrument Panel Steering Column Lower Trim Cover Bolt(1)»Remove

  8. Turn the steering wheel to the centered position.
  9. Instrument Panel Steering Column Lower Trim Cover Bolt(1)»Remove

    10. Object ID: 5973159
  10. Instrument Panel Steering Column Lower Trim Cover(1)»Remove
  11. Disconnect the electrical connector, if equipped.

  12. Turn Signal Switch Bolt(1)»Remove[2x]
  13. Disconnect the electrical connector.

Installation Procedure

  2. Connect the electrical connector.

    Caution: Fastener Caution.

  3. Turn Signal Switch Bolt(1)»Install and tighten[2x]—Fastener Specifications

  4. Connect the electrical connector, if equipped.
  5. Instrument Panel Steering Column Lower Trim Cover(1)»Install

  6. Instrument Panel Steering Column Lower Trim Cover Bolt(1)»Install and tighten—Fastener Specifications

  7. Turn the steering wheel approximately 90 degrees to the right of the centered position.
  8. Instrument Panel Steering Column Lower Trim Cover Bolt(1)»Install and tighten—Fastener Specifications

    9. Object ID: 5973087
  9. Turn the steering wheel approximately 90 degrees to the left of the centered position.
  10. Instrument Panel Steering Column Lower Trim Cover Bolt(1)»Install and tighten—Fastener Specifications
  11. Turn the steering wheel to the centered position.

  12. Secure the instrument panel steering column upper trim cover (1) to the instrument panel steering column lower trim cover.
