Danger: Ensure all High Voltage safety procedures are followed. You must have the appropriate level of up-to-date high voltage training and certification combined with Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) to continue. Review the procedure steps to ensure you have the proper qualifications. You must stop if not properly qualified. Failure to follow the procedure exactly as written may result in serious injury or death.

Locking Lever Connector

Disconnecting Procedure:

  1. The connector position assurance (CPA) tab (1) is in lock position.

  2. Slide the connector position assurance (CPA) tab (1) back from the locked position to the unlock position.
  3. While pulling up on the latching lever (2), the latching lever will rotate to un-latch position lifting the female connector off male connector.

  4. The latching lever (1) should be in the full unlatch position as shown to be fully disconnected.

  5. Lift the connector (1) and remove.

  6. Use the appropriate probes for high voltage testing. Insert the probes into the connector using sufficient pressure to make contact with the high voltage terminals.
Connect Procedure:

  1. Position the female connector (1) onto the male connector and start to engage the connector.

  2. Rotate the latching lever (1) toward the locking position, the latching lever will rotate to completely seating the female connector to the male connector.

  4. Slide the connector position assurance (CPA) tab (1) back into the locked position.

  2. Slide the connector position assurance (CPA) tab (1) back from the locked position to the unlock position.
  3. Use the appropriate tool to disengage the detent (2) to release the connector.

  4. Remove the connector (1).
  5. Use the Fluke™ TL-910 or Pomona™ 6275 or equivalent leads for testing the high voltage terminals.
Connecting Procedure:

  1. Install the connector (1).

  2. The detent (2) should be fully seated when the connector is fully engaged.
  3. Slide the connector position assurance (CPA) tab (1) back into the locked position.
