Instrument Panel Extension Replacement - Left Side
Removal Procedure

  1. Using a flat bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.
  2. Reposition the sun load and ambient light and security indicator cover (3).
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector (2).
  4. Sun Load and Ambient Light and Security Indicator Cover(3)»Remove

  5. Using a flat bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.
  6. Instrument Panel Center Extension - Right Side(1)»Reposition

  7. Using a flat bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.
  8. Instrument Panel Center Extension - Left Side(1)»Remove

  9. Pull down the windshield garnish molding (2) rearwards to release the retaining clips from the A pillar.
  10. Access the windshield garnish bolt (1) on the backside of the windshield garnish molding (2).
  11. Windshield Garnish Molding Bolt(1)»Remove
  12. Windshield Garnish Molding(2)»Remove

  14. Center Pillar Upper Garnish Molding Bolt(2)»Remove
  15. Using a flat bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.
  16. Body Side Front Window Garnish Molding(3)»Remove

  18. Using a flat bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.
  19. Instrument Panel Extension - Left Side(2)»Remove
Installation Procedure

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution.

  2. Instrument Panel Extension Bolt(1)»Install and tighten—Fastener Specifications

  3. Body Side Front Window Garnish Molding(3)»Install
  4. Center Pillar Upper Garnish Molding Bolt(2)»Install and tighten—Fastener Specifications
  5. Body Side Front Window Garnish Molding Insert(1)»Install

  6. Windshield Garnish Molding Bolt(1)»Install and tighten—Fastener Specifications
  7. Align the retaining clips with the slots in the A pillar and press the windshield garnish molding (2) into place.
  8. Windshield Garnish Molding(2)»Install

  11. Connect the electrical connector (2).
