Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor 3 Circuit Performance
- DTC P0111
Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor 1 Performance
Circuit/System DescriptionComponent | Description |
|---|
B111B Turbocharger Boost/Intake Air Temperature Sensor | The assembly has several functions: PressureThe signal voltage increases when the pressure increases. TemperatureThe temperature sensor is a negative temperature coefficient thermistor, a resistor which changes based on temperature. - Low temperature produces a high resistance:49,882 Ω@-40°C (-40°F)
 - High temperature produces a low resistance:67 Ω@150°C (302°F)

Compressor Air Intake Turbocharger System Description The sensor measures the intake air temperature and pressure between the turbocharger and the throttle body. |
B75C Multifunction Intake Air Sensor | The assembly has several functions: - The mass air flow sensor is a hot film type sensor that measures the mass of air (not the volume) entering the engine. The signal varies with engine load and is displayed by the scan tool in Hertz (Hz) and grams per second (g/s).
 - The component houses the following sensors:
 - BARO Sensor 1
 - BARO Sensor 2
 - IAT Sensor 1
 - IAT Sensor 2
 - Intake Air Humidity Sensor

  |
K20 Engine Control Module | The control module contains a microprocessor used to process input data to control outputs. The control module controls a series of actuators to ensure optimal vehicle performance. The control module does this by reading values from a variety of sensors, interprets the data and adjusts the propulsion system actuators accordingly. |
