Conditions for Running the DTC

Ignition=On

Power Steering Motor Circuit=Malfunction

• Power Steering Output Torque=Disabled
• P9 Driver Information Center Display=Service Power Steering

• A current DTC will clear on the next malfunction-free ignition cycle.
• A history DTC will clear after 40 consecutive malfunction-free ignition cycles.

Control Module References

1. Ignition » On / Vehicle » In Service Mode
2. Verify DTC C0475 is not set
• If the DTC is set
1. Clear DTCs—DTC C0475
2. Cycle the ignition from OFF to ON.
3. Verify the DTC does not set.
• If the DTC sets » Replace the component:Steering Gear
• If the DTC does not set
• If the DTC is not set
3. All OK.
