Conditions for Running the DTC

Ignition=On

• The control module detects a short to ground.—Power Steering Motor Position Sensor Circuit
• The control module detects a short to voltage.—Power Steering Motor Position Sensor Circuit
• The control module detects an open circuit.—Power Steering Motor Position Sensor Circuit

• Power Steering Output Torque=Disabled
• P9 Driver Information Center Display=Service Power Steering

• A current DTC will clear on the next malfunction-free ignition cycle.
• A history DTC will clear after 40 consecutive malfunction-free ignition cycles.
