Diagnostic Instructions
- Perform the Diagnostic System Check prior to using this diagnostic procedure:Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle
- Review the description of Strategy Based Diagnosis:Strategy Based Diagnosis
This procedure resets the control module learned values of the component/system:Reductant System
When to Perform the ProcedureNote: Failure to perform this procedure may result in poor system performance, DTCs being set, or customer dissatisfaction.
Perform this procedure when the following component has been serviced:
- A38 Reductant Pump and Sensor Assembly—Replaced
- B75 Mass Air Flow Sensor—Replaced
- B131 Exhaust Temperature Sensor—Replaced
- B195A Nitrogen Oxides Sensor 1—Replaced
- B195B Nitrogen Oxides Sensor 2—Replaced
- Q61 Reductant Injector—Replaced
- Nitrogen Oxides Catalytic Converter—Replaced
- Engine=Off
- Ignition=Run/Crank
Scan Tool Reference
With Scan Tool- Ignition » On / Vehicle » In Service Mode
- Select:Module Diagnostics
- Select:Engine Control Module
- Select:Configuration/Reset Functions
- Select:Reset Functions
- Select:NOx Catalyst Reductant Loading Reset
- Follow the instructions on the scan tool.—The procedure will complete within 10 s
Note: The scan tool does not display the learn/reset status.
