Diagnostic Instructions

This procedure resets the control module learned values of the component/system:B131 Exhaust Temperature Sensor@Diesel Particulate Filter—Inlet
When to Perform the ProcedureNote: Failure to perform this procedure may result in poor system performance, DTCs being set, or customer dissatisfaction.
Perform this procedure when the following component has been serviced:B131 Exhaust Temperature Sensor—Replaced
Conditions for Running the ProcedureIgnition=Run/Crank

With Scan Tool- Ignition » On / Vehicle » In Service Mode
- Select:Module Diagnostics
- Select:Engine Control Module
- Select:Configuration/Reset Functions
- Select:Reset Functions
- Select:Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Reset
- Follow the instructions on the scan tool.—The procedure will complete within 10 s
Note: The scan tool does not display the learn/reset status.
