Circuit/System Description
Rear differential clutch control module is supplying voltage to the power transfer unit shift actuator motor and is grounded through the control module.
Conditions for Running the DTC
The engine is running.
Conditions for Setting the DTC
C1290 00
The rear differential clutch control module detects a short to battery on the power transfer unit clutch motor circuit.
C1291 00
The rear differential clutch control module detects a short to ground on the power transfer unit clutch motor circuit.
C1292 00
The rear differential clutch control module detects an open on the power transfer unit clutch motor circuit.
C1293 00
The rear differential clutch control module detects high current at the power transfer unit clutch motor circuit.
C1295 00
The rear differential clutch control module detects plausibility error at the power transfer unit clutch motor circuit.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets

Circuit/System Testing
Repair the short to voltage on the circuit.
Repair the short to ground on the circuit.
Repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
Repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
Note: DTC C1295 may set due to a mechanical issue within the power transfer unit in which the unit is not physically engaging, despite being commanded to do so.
Repair as necessary.
Replace the K47 Rear Differential Clutch Control Module.
Component Testing
Replace the M115 Power Transfer Unit Shift Actuator.
Repair Instructions
Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification after completing the repair.
