Transmission Mount Strut Bracket Replacement (Front Wheel Drive)
Removal Procedure
- Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle

- Remove the transmission mount strut bracket to transmission mount strut bolt (1).
- Remove and DISCARD the transmission mount strut bracket bolt (2).
- Remove the transmission mount strut bracket (3) from the transmission.
Installation Procedure

- Position the transmission mount strut bracket (3) to the transmission.
- Prepare the NEW transmission mount strut bracket bolts (2) for installation as follows:
- Remove all traces of the adhesive patch from the transmission mount strut bracket bolts and the mating threads using the appropriate tools.
- Clean the threads of the transmission mount strut bracket bolts and mating threads with denatured alcohol or equivalent and allow to dry.
- Apply thread locking adhesive to the transmission mount strut bracket bolts. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Ensure there are no gaps in the thread locking adhesive once applied to the transmission mount strut bracket bolts.
- Install the four NEW transmission mount strut bracket bolts (2) and tighten to 100 N·m (74 lb ft) plus 60 to 75 degrees.
- Install the transmission mount strut bracket to transmission mount strut bolt (1) and tighten to 80 N·m (59 lb ft) plus 45 to 60 degrees.
- Lower the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
