Removal Procedure

    Note: Control valve body bolt quantity is wiring harness dependent.

  1. Control Valve Body Bolt(1)»Remove[2x]or [3x]
  2. Control Valve Solenoid Body Bolt(2)»Remove
  3. Disconnect all electrical connectors from the control valve body.
  4. Loosen the 2 bolts that are captured in the automatic transmission wiring harness (3).
  5. For on-vehicle wiring harness removal the Variable Feed Solenoid Clutch Accumulator Piston and Spring may fall out. Control Valve Body Assembly Disassemble

    6. Note:

    • The automatic transmission wiring harness bolts are captured in the harness.
    • The bolt retainer tab on the wiring harness indicated by the arrow may or may not be present. Newer design wiring harness does not have bolt retainer tab.

  7. Automatic Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor Seal(4)@Automatic Transmission Wiring Harness(3)»Remove and DISCARD

    9. Note: Park Inhibitor removal required for proper realignment upon installation.
