Brake System Performance While ABS Active Malfunction

Circuit/System Description

The electronic brake control module monitors the vehicle longitudinal acceleration, comparing the detected acceleration to the requested acceleration.

Conditions for Running the DTC

Ignition ON.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

The electronic brake control module detects an unplausible high or low acceleration value, which differs from what is requested.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

  • The electronic brake control module disables the Adaptive Cruise Control.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

  • The condition for setting the DTC is no longer present.
  • The history DTC will clear after 40 consecutive fault-free ignition cycles have occurred.

Diagnostic Aids

DTC C026E indicates there was an abrupt stop of the vehicle due to a collision with an object, an extreme driving situation, other external influence, or component defect.
