Auxiliary Fluid Accumulator Removal
Single Use Fasteners and Components- Accumulator Bypass Valve Seal
- Accumulator Bypass Valve Seal-Solenoid
- Automatic Transmission Case Seal[2x]
Removal ProcedureWarning: The automatic transmission fluid accumulator may be pressurized greater than 120 psi (827 kpa) and fluid may be hot. When servicing accumulator, key must be OFF for a minimum of 10 minutes. Do not open bleeder screw until instructed to do so or personal injury may result.

Note:
- Repair or replace as necessary
- The Automatic Transmission Auxiliary Fluid Accumulator Solenoid Cover can be removed when servicing the Accumulator Bypass Valve Seal. If there is no Automatic Transmission Auxiliary Fluid Accumulator Solenoid Cover present, a NEW Shift On/Off Solenoid Valve must be used in order to get a cover. The cover is not available separately.

- Automatic Transmission Auxiliary Fluid Accumulator Bolt(1)»Remove[3x]
- Automatic Transmission Auxiliary Fluid Accumulator(2)»Remove
- Secure the auxiliary fluid accumulator to a vise.
- Securely attach a hose from the bleeder screw into an approved container.
- Slowly loosen bleeder screw until pressure begins to release.
- Allow all pressure and fluid to be released from the auxiliary fluid accumulator.
- Tighten bleeder screw to 13.5 N·m (119 lb in).
- Accumulator Valve Body Bolt(4)»Remove[2x]
- Shift On/Off Solenoid Valve(5)»Remove
- Accumulator Bypass Valve Seal-Solenoid (6)»Remove and DISCARD
- Automatic Transmission Case Seal(7)»Remove and DISCARD[2x]
- Accumulator Bypass Valve Seal(8)»Remove and DISCARD
